Dr Trevor Wilson completed his PhD working on the Thymus at the Monash University Dept. of Pathology and Immunology. Following a Post-doc in California, working on animal models of autoimmune disease, he returned to Monash and joined MIMR, where has built upon his strong immunology and molecular biology background to investigate genes which regulate the immune response, in particular, the Ets family of transcription factors. During this time he developed expertise in a wide range of technologies including RNA interferences and microarray technologies.
In 2008 Dr Wilson was appointed Manager or the Monash High Content Screening Facility at MIMR. In In collaboration with other Monash researchers he is establishing this facility, which uses liquid handling robotics and automated microscopy to develop assays and identify novel regulatory genes in pathogen responses, cytokine signalling and cancer.
